Xiaomi recently launched it Redmi Note 3 in India on 3rd March 2016. With the launch of Redmi Note 3 Hugo Barra told about launch of Mi 5 with in a month. Hugo Barra keeping his promise, launched Mi 5 in India on 31st March 2016.
Xiaomi Mi 5 was officially unveiled at MWC in Barcelona last month. Mi 5 is already being sold via flash sales in China. Many of the blogger have got their units imported from China. According to their review Xiaomi Mi 5 is a real beast at such a great cost. It's like getting an Ferrari for a very low price.

Now let's talk about Indian Variant which Xiaomi launched today(31/03/2016). Hugo Barra today launch Mi 5 32GB variant, which have 3GB RAM and only 1.8 GHz processor at Rs.24,999. Now after the launch there were a lots of Ho Ha on social networking sites and Mi Forums from Indian Xiaomi Fans. We (Indian Fans) were expecting Xiaomi to launch Mi 5 with all variants (specially 64GB/128GB Pro). But Xiaomi has just launched a phone with underclocked process at Rs.24,999 in which user cannot expand the size of its memory.
People were expecting Xiaomi to launch Mi 5 with the chinese price tag like 1999 yuan (Rs.20,000) for 32GB variant, 2299 yuan (Rs.23,000) for 64GB varaint and 2699 yuan (Rs.27,000) for 128 GB variant. But Xiaomi Launched Mi 5 at Rs.24,999. Due to which people who were desperately waiting for 2.2GHz variant are sad (including me). But Mi 5 is really a beast at even 1.8GHz Snapdragon 820. We hope Xiaomi will soon launch the 64GB and 128GB variant in India.
Xiaomi Mi 5 will be going on sale for first time in India on 6th April 2016.
A suggession for Xiaomi India, please stop your flash sale if you are manufacturing your Devices in India, and launch some latest devices with all its variant.
